So it's been an entire year since I've posted anything on this blog. Life has a way of rushing by... My lap is usually filled with a child these days, not a lap top!
2009 was a beautiful year... Spence and I traveled to California, just the two of us, for some much-needed R & R. We drove up the Pacific Coast Highway and saw the waves crash against the jagged cliffs of the beautiful coast. We enjoyed our time at the Tickle Pink Inn, a motor lodge along the PCH, near Carmel, CA, and even went whale watching in the Monterey Harbor. It was a sweet time.
This fall found us busy with the kids' lives and activities. Lauren started 2nd grade and Sam began his last year of pre-school. Little Thomas turned 2 and I realized my baby is getting big! Both the boys have begun the adventure of potty training and we are so THRILLED that Sam seems to be getting the hang of it!! (He has Down syndrome, for those that may have forgotten.... and it takes longer for him to do things....)
Our next adventure is just around the corner. In the next couple of weeks we should learn where the Air Force will be re-assigning us. Since we've been at Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio for 4 years, it is "time" for us to go! Truthfully, we've been able to be at WPAFB longer than most. They granted us an extension last year due to Sam's needs and the schools available here in this region. But, only one year was granted, so we are soon on our way.... We will probably move sometime mid summer!!
Next blog I will update on where the new assignment is going to be! Meanwhile, I'm just biting my nails and waiting (somewhat) anxiously!
